Subject: Re: Calculating the optimum gear ratio for my car by corvettelou on 2011/8/20 18:13:38 MPH x rear gear ratio x trans ratio ( ussually 1 depending on what gear you intend to be in though traps) x 336 divided by tire diameter. Example; 120 mph x 4.10 = 492 x 1= 492 x 336 = 165312 divided by 26 = 6,358 (rpm). hope this helps. |
