I have my 4 timeslips below with my version of what happened with each one. The first one, I hit the rev limiter going from 1st to 2nd. The second one, I hit the rev limiter going from 2nd to 3rd. The 3rd run was just leaving it in drive, but I went through the traps well past the 6000 rpm factory tach, I figure around 6500 My 4th and final run was leaving it in drive until I got to about 5800rum in 3rd and then shifting into overdrive. Again, here is a copy of the dyno sheet where Ed Hutchings tuned the car As you can see, it is still making good power to 6500 rpms. I need to either learn how to shift better, (practice and a better tach or shiftlight) or adjust the governor to shift higher then 5700-5800. These runs were with 3/4 tank of fuel and the hardtop bolted on the car. I really believe the car has the potential to hit 125-126mph. Gotta say, that Will knows how to build a motor!! PS I don't pay too much attention to the crap some post over there, you are gonna have some of those everywhere you go. I still had one of the pm's sent to me, (Looks awesome, but why the 100 rwhp gain on the one dyno pull? 462 divide by .80 is 577chp. What does it trap? I am confused. That would be close to 500rwhp in a manual trans and that combo doesnt have that potential as the cam and heads are too small, and cubes. Fill me in ppppp lease.... ) I answered telling him we had bad injectors in the car and Ed changed them out. I also ask if he was implying we were lying? I never heard back from him. FWIW I think he was upset that he spent probably twice as much money on his engine and wasn't making near the power mine is. |
