[/quote That was the first real "sports mania" I can remember. The Flyers won because Shultz punched everyone so hard they forgot how to play hockey! I was 15 and in 10th grade. They closed the school the the day of the parade because next to no one showed up for class. The train station in Bristol was so crowded it looked like the New York Subway at rush hour. Several trains passed through the station because they were too full to take on anymore people. I dont even remember paying for a train ticket that day! We were ALL down in the city whooping it up. LOL! |
