Subject: Friday Chat 04.30.10 by Matatk on 2010/4/30 12:00:56 Good Morning CGs! Happy Friday! Can you believe it's the end of the month already!?! I have some errands to do today. I have to run to the bank and shuffle some money around, hit the post office, and do a few little tasks around the house. Tonight is the rehearsal for the wedding tomorrow. Well I actually found a pair of running shoes the other day when we went shopping. That's surprising because it usually takes me about 4 months to find shoes I like. I'm picky to an insane degree. Total, it took me about 5 or 6 stores to find this pair. I got some nike running shoes that are very comfortable and give good support. So I took them for a test run last night. Felt great as far as the shoes go. Unfortunately, I haven't run now in about 3 years, I do other forms of exercise for my cardio. But it felt good. No cramping or pain. I did a little loop through the neighborhood and then went back and drove it to see the distance. 1.6 miles in 12:17. Not too bad for my first time out, but not what I'd like. That's an 8 minute mile, I'd like to get back down to around 6:30s for the race I have coming up. I don't expect to win, but I'd like to do ok. It's more of a personal thing than anything else.
