The house was in OK shape, no water in the basement and the house was still standing (13 yo grandson on his own through most of the day). Tommy you're right, time is running short for us teachers. We own a time share in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. A couple years back using it interfered with the start of school so we banked it. We have been trying all summer to try and use that week, to no avail. We have given our daughter this years week thinking we were going to get to use the banked one. Well, it just isn't going to happen. So our daughter says they're not going to stay the whole week, so we are going to tag-team the week out in Pagosa. They are leaving mid-week, so the wife and I will use the second half. It's only a 5 hour drive...through the mountains, so it's works out well for us. We are taking the Corvette, so it will make it that much better. Don, try taking the HDD out and put it in the freezer for 30 minutes or so, then stick it back in and try to recover your data. Works more often than not. But you only have a little time to get it, as it warms up it will quit again. |
