Worked on the garage yesterday, That is the biggest compliance issue we have with the house and of course, one of the main reasons I wanted this house. My wife went to the Depot to pick up some supplies. She calls me about the size of a missing door that leads from the utility room to the garage. Let mr say that hanging a door was in no way, shape or form part of my plans for the day. After hanging trim and patching some big holes she starts prodding to get the door hung. I can't complain too much. She chiseled and cleaned out two hinge slots on the door. (Said I was going too slow). The door is almost ready to hang. She bought a 36" door as I told her that was the dimension. The door is exactly 36 and the frame is like 35 and 15/16ths which means I have to either lose 1/4 inch on the door or a 1/4 inch on the frame. I think today I'm gonna cut away 1/4 inch off the frame. Looks like the best and most forgiving approach. I have to move the lock slot 1/4 inch down too so it will kill two birds. Gutters go back up today around 09:00. Had to take them down to redo the roof. Luckily. I believe we'll be able to reuse them with some slight adjustments. No more big money projects planned. No more big money. That's OK. I still have plenty of little money stuff laying around that needs attention. Make something happen, or in BillH's case ...... don't.
