They love getting stuff from the States. I remember coming back with her from Germany and we a had a set of dishes all boxed up in seperate boxes. There were about a dozen boxes wrapped in brown paper and twine. The German customs officials wanted to look in every box before we boarded the plane. What a PIA that was. I remember going through Czechoslovakian Customs upon entering that country in 1972. They made me strip. The only good thing was they didn't do a cavity search. Still, it was eye opening for a 16 y/o to go through that. I remember we went by a Russian military outpost when were there. My uncle was none to thrilled about it. The Russians had sent him to Siberia for 6 years back in the 1940's. I have a small job to go to today. I'm taking the crew and fertilizing all the plants on a property they just cleaned up. Should be a 3 or 4 hour job. That will break my current two day record of not doing much of anything. Have a great day everyone. No matter how bad you think we have it here, it's way worse in most other places. |
