I was reading in the new Corvette mag about these guys who stuck about 15 large into a new ZR1 and took it to the Texas Mile. It would run the 1/4 in 9.7 sec but they wanted to break 200 mph at the Mile. Didn't happen because the outside air temps were so hot the computer kept retarding the engine.......What did win the Texas Mile was an 87 C4 who hit 211 mph using an unblown engine with a single 4bbl carb. So much for high tech.....Nice, I love it! Well I better get going....the govt going to need a lot more money so I better start making it so they can have it.....let's be careful out there Guru's. |
