The one I had in Pa. was very close to the pic only in much better condition.

Dying out under load may just be carb adjustment.

The needle with the small spring close to the bottom of the floatbowl can be adjusted. Turn it in with a screwdriver until it lightly seats then, back it out 1 1/2 turns.

Also, when it starts to die out, give it a little choke. If it runs better, it's too lean (back out that needle a 1/4 turn and try it again.).
