Both could be power, neither could be.

However, if they are, they should move fore/aft and up down with little more than an electric motor whine....

I do like the sound, smells and sights at a NASCAR event. They do look pretty all bunched up off a straight coming into a turn. Until somebody messes up. I attended NASCAR events for over a decade at Homestead-Miami Speedway and once at Daytona. One time at Daytona was more than enough. I left with about 20 laps to go. It was a wise move on my part. I was on I-95 southbound heading to Titusville when the race ended after a long delay. Jeff Gordon won which made me that much happier I had left when I did. I didn't have to see it. I lost interest in NASCAR. Maybe after seeing so much of the same thing over and over again it was time to move on.

I hear you. I was watching it because that was the only racing that was on at the time.

I am not a Gordon fan either. To me the most anticipated 4 words in racing are not "Drivers, start your engines." they are "Gordon's in the wall." Damage the car, not the driver though.
