We've been in a winter heat wave since before the New Year, Temps sliding into the 80's almost everyday. Haven't had any appreciable rain in weeks. The lows haven't got out of the high 60's. This is not the norm. We've already broken some high temp records on several days. No changes expected through mid week with possible showers Friday or Saturday. Just in time for the start of our vacation. I'm gonna go see if I can pull some strings and get some wedding invitations hand cancelled. The USPS doesn't really do that anymore. Gonna take the 83 911 and stretch it's legs out a little. It's about an hours worth of driving to my old workplace. There are no loyalties in the Post Office. As a retiree, they will put me off as fast as the next guy. I have to play the friend card. Still, when it comes to rules. The rules are the rules even for your mutha. |
