He tries at times to get interested in things, but has little background in anything, so he becomes disinterested in things pretty quickly. Tried woodworking, gave up. Tried messing with cars, screwed things up worse than they were, gave up. Has worked in many different jobs and was excelling, but it just didn't have the meaning, so he quits or stops going consistently and gets fired or blows it some other way and gets fired. He sits at home (while my daughter works 80+ hours a week) and thinks/tinkers with his toys. It's frustrating to understand. Recently he's gotten into thinking about why his younger brother died so young (27), well maybe he abused his body so much, it couldn't take it anymore....And I've told him just that, in those words, but he has to analyze every facet. Basically because there are children involved, my grandsons are more like my sons and I hope that they see me as the father-figure and not their father.
