I saw a blurb on this car in AutoWeek - it brought back a childhood memory: http://www.examiner.com/article/ford- ... acar-flying-on-the-ground When I was 4 or 5, a family friend owned the Ford dealership in town. She (yes, she - probably pretty unusual for a woman to be running such a business back in the late 50's) came over to visit and brought along a promotional model of the Levacar, complete with the little tube you'd blow in to make it fly. I remember playing with it on the kitchen table - it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen. Sadly I didn't get to keep it. |
