Apparently, it was put on the circuit with the lights in the basement and when the lights are turned off, the outlet is turned off as well, when that happens...water in the basement. They live in Bonner Springs and the name isn't just for looks, springs everywhere. The pump cycles about every 15-20 minutes, so having it working is a must. So I purchased 100' of 12-2 w/gr, a junction box, breaker and clamps to put the plug on a dedicated circuit. Once I figured where it was, I disconnected it from the circuit and decided how to run the wire. It took me about an hour and half to feed it through existing holes, from one end of the house to the other. It now works, they can turn the lights off in the basement and not worry about the sump or water in the basement. |
