that has scam written all over it. There is no VIN listed in the ad. I would never buy a vehicle without running CARFAX on it first.

Remember this, the C5 was actually not that much more expensive new than the C4 it replaced. If anything, the base C5 was marginally cheaper than a 1996 C4 coupe. The C5 was that much easier to build that Cost of Goods Sold dropped.

With that said, my 1992 was about $40k new in 1992. I bought it 6 years later with 39k miles for $16,900.00. It was 8 years old.

All things being equal, a 1999-2001 C5 should be in about the same price point - $17~$20k would be about right.
