Pretty much any bike sounds like a sewing machine from the factory. If you put a race exhaust on the GS, it would probably sound pretty mean.

The VFR in stock trim would be a quiet machine. That is the nature of this ultra-refined beast. But put some after market cans on it, and look out!

I heard one just the other day while I was eating lunch. I had to stop for a moment and just enjoy the music.


A buddy of mine (yet again, the guy with the C1 Vettes) had a yellow SuperHawk. He took the baffles out of the stock exhaust. That bike sounded GREAT! Set off car alarms though. The riding position on the SuperChicken wasn't TOO bad, but the VFR is an all-day rider. Through decades of fine tuning, it is one of the overall best motorcycles ever made.
