I have no problem discussing points, but there's no discussion there.

Someone says something asinine, like XXX makes XX more power, I ask them to prove it, and they read me talking points, which have no value, say "I know a guy", or tell me about how they built motors that typically have piss poor performance, and proves nothing to the request to prove the claim.

You can't have a discussion with people who make you the subject of the thread, even if you're not the subject either. Comments like "what have you built" and "show me your numbers" have absolutely no bearing on my asking to prove a claim, other than they used said parts.

So that's what sets me off and I launch into rants....

Just sayin.
