Subject: RE:Some laws are just stupid by bogus on 2007/11/16 19:56:54 This is where I need to do some reading... The 2nd Amendment has been misunderstood for way too long. And I am not an expert. So I will read. Personally, I don't disagree with your stance. I have seen the numbers drop. Essentially, there are cities where the entire population is waiting to be the victim, and the system cannot protect them at all times. I wish lethal force wasn't needed, but when you have governments outlawing tazers and pepper spray, it gets hard to protect yourself. It's like some legislators are totally in denial that bad people exist. Or they are even more naive to believe that they can constantly protect the citizens. It can't happen. If it did, we would be under martial law. And the USA has their share of the aforementioned bad people. It's sad we do, but it's the truth... I am very moderate, and socially, quite liberal. However, I am pragmatic enough to realize that people need to be left to do their own thing. And the laws that are being passed these days restricts that right. I despise the nanny nation concept... I hate the fact that the lowest common denomenator of intellectual capacity has effected my civil liberties... Angers my blood to no end. |
