Subject: Re: Where do you live, do you like it there and why? by PeteK on 2009/11/8 1:28:37 I spent the first 16 years of my life in Queens Village, New York. I could never go back. From 16 to 40, I lived in Northeastern Pa. Cold, grey, and dark. Summers are hot and humid, and winters are cold, and quite snowy. I thought it was bad, and it is. Then I moved to Manchester, New Hampshire. Housing, taxes, and traffic are brutal. Although it is sunnier than Pa, is snowed like hell the 2 years I was there. I doubt I could have grown to like it, and even if I did I could not afford to buy a home there. Moved back to Northeast Pa at 42 (I am 43 now), and plan to be here a while before I head somewhere sunnier and warmer. My wife's father is ill, and my wife and daughter do not want to be uprooted again, especially now. |
