Re: Amsoil vs Royal Purple vs Valvoline

Valvoline has a new oil, not a synthetic, but it has extremely high amounts of zinc in it. It doesn't come any lighter than 50 though so cold weather operation becomes a factor. I have an oil pan full of it in my 405 which I am going to use through the start up and break in process.

After that I'm going to switch to a lighter synthetic...maybe Valvoline, Amsoil, or Mobil1.
