Re: Amsoil vs Royal Purple vs Valvoline

FWIW, I use synthetic in all the rides. Mobil 1 mostly. I change all my DD's when the oil life monitor comes on. It's saved me about 50% on annual oil change costs. Neither the truck nor the suburban sees more than about 9k miles/year, so I'm happy with what I'm doing. The Impala gets the Vasoline synthetic since it's older, was bought used, etc...
The Vette on the otherhand get's a change each year as I put it up for the winter. I've only put +/- 13k miles in 16 years, so I'm pretty sure I'm not running it into the ground. Once at a car show I asked what the big diff is between M1 and Amsoil. He said it comes down to preference at that point. He was there looking for the guys that just bought a new vehicles and was looking for help with oil selection. Looking for newb customers.
