What would worry me is the moisture condensation/collection on a Humid/rainy/snowy day. Turn the unit on, and possibly cook something.

The only thing close to this happening I've ever witnessed is the receiver I've had in my garage for the past 26 years.
It finally quit working a month ago. Turned it on, it has power, emits static out of the speakers, receives AM/FM stations according to the signal strength meter, but outputs nothing other than static.
Could be just old age (it's a Technics brand by Pasnasonic) too.
