Oh those subtle changes. This is a womans way of attempting behavior modification. Remember that most women are never really happy and as a result constantly attempt change and manipulation in their lives and yours. It's like when they call you from across the house instead of walking over to you, or asking you to get them something when you finally get comfortable in your favorite chair. Watching your favorite show? Not for long unless it happens to be her favorite show too.
