Subject: The Last Airbender by CorvetteBob on 2010/7/4 6:06:08 My son had plans to go see the "airbender", then the other kid listened to the critics and wouldn't go. I looked it up on the net and no one had any real gripes other than something they could say to further thier organizations. I think those critics are stooopid. We went and saw it and it's a pretty good movie. It's not of the sci-fi quality that we've come to expect, but I'm glad I saw it. I think the fact that this film seems more geared toward the under 20 crowd is what takes away. Not the story. I think it's a better story line than Avatar, which btw is the name of the animated series that Airbender is based on. The effects are decent, although the way the characters overdramatically dance around is a bit much. But look at it as a story, and as a movie that stands on it's own and believe me, there's far worse drivel on screens to waste your money on. |
