On the lighter side! I have been looking at the ballistics and stopping power of a 22 magnum revolver. Way back when we used a 22LR as a "hush puppy" round. 22 Mag has been around since 1935 and has surprising penetration. Nice round for a female to use for protection.

.22 does nasty things in the body. Since it does not have a lot of impact force it tends to bounce off of bones and even organs as it tumbles tail over head inside the body. It can be much more deadly than a large caliber at close range.

A well placed shot of any caliber is deadly.

Exactly! Its always placement, but I think a 22mag is a great round that can do as much tissue damage as a 25 without the intimidation of a larger caliber round. I thinking as a self-protection round for a female. Ten rounds in a revolver vs 6 in a semi auto. I have first hand experience with the round. This would be for home protection not CC.
