The Medicare COLA is based on the CPI. Because of the energy spike in 2008, the raise was 5.8% for 2009. Since prices have dropped below 2008 levels, no raise for 2011.
From what I researched, prescription premiums will go up an average of $1mo. next year but coverage will also improve.
