About 9 months after I sold my 64, I was looking in the want ads of the Wichita paper, the ad read something like this. 1966 Corvette convertible, 427/450 hp 4 speed, both tops, low miles $4800. By the time I called it was sold. It was an early 66 as the very early ones were rated 450hp from the factory, but then the insurance companies had a sh!t fit, so they reduced the rating on the later ones to 425hp |
