Subject: Re: Craigslist record... by Ultraman on 2010/10/3 1:39:49 Bought an Envoy with less miles for my daughter. They were not going to give me anything for my 2001 Xterra with 125K on the clock. I told my wife I'd sell it myself. She said, "your crazy". So I spent hours cleaning this thing up, it was in good shape and just needed some detailing. So finally it's ready and I take it down to a lot on a busy intersection in town, hang a for sale sign on it and went home to wait for the calls to come in. I no sooner got set down when the phone started ringing. I got ten calls in about an hour and the first person who called ended up writing the check for the asking price. Of course I have had a bit of swagger around the place for awhile. All my wife said as she shook her head was, "unbelievable".  |
