My wife has a ton of miles so we booked it through the credit card miles program. We were going to pay for it with the miles but in the time it took me to find a hauler, the airline ticket price went up $60 making the difference a non issue between booking ourself or using the credit card travel program. Scored a good deal with Alamo car rentals on the 4 day rate. Also payed for with miles. Total trip cost $638 air, $136 car rental and $926 for auto transport fee. Add food and entertainment, airport parking, and gas and the total is about $2200 on this 5 day mission / mini vacation. A sendimental journey ....... In miles it was 70,000 for air and 15,000 for the car. There you have it. |
