Subject: Toolaholics meeting....step inside. by Matatk on 2011/8/17 23:54:54
So I've decided to start a program. It's for toolaholics like myself. Unlike AA, TA only has two steps:
Step 1: Admit you have a problem. Step 2: Realize your problem isn't really a problem and go buy more tools.
Once you can follow these two easy steps, you will be much further ahead.
Here's my latest ebay victory:
It's a Kent Moore J-33431 signal generator. It's used for testing the dash to rule out if a sensor might or might not be working right. Used for the digidashes, not sure about the later ones. I will probably never use this thing in my life. But I saw someone else needed it...so I needed it. That's the same way I picked up my Kent Moore ABS tester. I figured one day I might need one so I should buy it now. Not too flawed of logic, I think, but still. I shop for bargains and when I see one I pick it up.
This is why Harbor Freight is like a candy store to me.
So what tool purchases have you made that were unnecessary but you bought them anyway? AND have you used them?
