There was one particular drive in place that I can't remember the name now.......and that is where the big boys hung out. Everyone would back in and after awile you would here a couple of cars fire up and they would head out to race....There was a drive in theater next door and a MacDonalds just down the Street with lots of stop lights to do some burn outs at. The main cruise route was from maybe 50th up to 90th streets but you could go all the way downtown if you wanted to. I had a 64 Dodge Polara 500....spent a lot of fun summer nights cruising the strip with my buds or my steady. We would all chip in a buck and fill the car up for 5 or 6 bucks.....Niiice! |
