Garages have a tendency to trap moisture, and that will lead to rust problems and other corrosion. The carport will protect from the baking heat of the sun, but still allow for good air flow. My brother found this one out when the top of his Volare started to rot... Now... a nice climate controlled garage is a great place to work on a car, tho! And as silly as it sounds, keeping the garage air conditioned will keep the rest of the house cooler, because that heat isn't trapped inside the garage. And technically, because that room isn't near the t-stat, it costs nothing to add a bit of cool to it. |
