My laptop display konked out couple days ago, just got it back from Apple - the Nvidia graphic card blew, turns out it's a recurrent problem with certain model MacBook Pros and if it blows within four years of date of purchase, they fix it for free. My four years would've been up in June. That was a $950 repair - FREE. What a load off my mind, talk about being blessed by the man upstairs! So, I celebrated with a new $80 laptop case I got for $21, ordered make up I needed and ended up with two free gifts, got a 20% discount at Godiva, I was given a bag of roasted Kona coffee beans for a shop I did a small amount of work for (he pays $28 per pound!), I guess I had a good weekend too, not the luck that Bill has but hey... But, drove the vette in the pouring rain and it's now nasty - I'll buy beer for whoever would be so kind to clean it  |
