No. Mine are not even close to that dirty. I might just spray the fins with a little water, soap and bleach and brush them lightly. My A/C system works fine as long as I don't try to push it under 75* or have a house full of people opening and closing the doors or just leaving doors open. When that happens the air handler coils freeze over. It's one of two things. A low freon charge or dirty coils. I'll address both. I have a guy that does my A/C work. I just hate to pay him.
