Good Morning CGs!

I did get to work on the car last night which was nice. Of course an hour long job turned into several hours, as usual. I put the pulley back on the ac compressor and when I tried to check the air gap the pulley had runout. WTF? Those pulleys have a spoked hub design that is cheap and weak. I don't know if it got tweaked from the floor press, or from age and heat, but it had runout of .23 in at one point. That's more than factory spec. I took it over to Rick's and we used the floor press and some plates to try to square it the best we could. Got it to almost zero runout in the center hub portion and maybe .10-.12 at the edge of the pulley. The weird thing was it check ok with a square and the clutch fit snug with no problems. I'm gonna run it and see how it goes. After searching a while I did fine a company that sells a new coil, pulley, and clutch for $145 shipped. Not what I want to spend, but oh well.

I have so many projects for the car but right now the ac is on the front burner. Hope to get it completed soon.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew
