Probably to the tune of about 5 bills. I'm sure it will be well worth it in the long run. I don't want to put out 3 Gs for a new compressor and air handler right now. Have to keep the old stuff working for awhile longer. The hurricane shutters passed inspection today. I'm good to go. Our bill is paid in full. Now I just hope I'll never need them but that would just be wishful thinking. It's been 7 years since the last big blow. This year is the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Andrew and the 100th anniversary of the City of Homestead. I've been here over 33 years but to the oldtimers I'm still a newcomer. When I die I'll still be a newcomer. It's like the people of Key West. If you weren't born there you can never be a Conch. |
