Re: Hot August Nights

Besides, I already have a hotrod to play with.

I had suspension parts spread all over the shop this afternoon. I'm putting together a parts list to order, about $1k's worth. It's absolutely mind numbing to try and figure out exactly what to order and what you have that's good to use.

Like just the gas tank, do I have all the correct bolts? Donno, have to look at all the parts again, figure where the bolts that mount the crossmember to the frame are, where the bolts to mount the tank are then order tank strap pads, anti squeak pads, new gas cap (with the correct date), gas cap filler neck cork gasket, connector for the overflow, overflow hose, overflow hose inner spring, sender gasket.........just for the freekin' tank.

Then start on the front & rear suspension parts, new fuel lines & clips, new brake lines and clips, etc.

I met the bodyshop guy this morning, hopefully he can get the frame in his shop by Thursday. Which means that I need to pull the body NOW and borrow an open trailer.
