Subject: Re: Here goes guys... by CorvetteBob on 2013/8/21 2:53:33 I was asked how I came up with my asking price. I researched 1988 Corvettes within a certain distance from my home and got a feel for the market. I also asked someone I know in sales that deals with Corvettes. The feeling I got from research and his advice coincided in the $10500-$12000 range. I have priced mine for a bit of a faster sale. I've gotten some replies asking about bottom dollar. I don't discuss the bottom line if someone isn't either standing in front of me w/$$ or, in a long distance situation, at least having shown me they're genuinely interested. This is because in having sold other cars over the years I've done this only to be called by someone else that thinks the bottom is the start of negotiations. It just creates problems and misunderstanding. If someone is truly serious about buying, I'll know it, then I'll discuss the bottom. Thanks for understanding, and I think most people would do the same in my position. |
