No mention of my '82 Plymouth Sapporo - they called it "the Japanese Monte Carlo" back in the day. It was the first new car I bought - it served me well, I kept it for 9 years. I remember they had an over-priced '63 split-window coupe on the dealer's lot that I could've bought for the same money. Probably would've been a better investment ;-) We also had a new '86 Chrysler LeBaron GTS turbo 5-door. That was a great car until it burned to the ground. It was replaced with an '87 Nissan Stanza - a nice little sedan that we probably could've kept for 10 years if my wife hadn't become enamored with a '91 Chrysler LeBaron coupe that was a complete POS. |
