I think I may have owned the ultimate worst 80's car....I bought an 81 Chevy Caprice Diesel in poop brown. Why I bought it is lost in the mists of time...I thought it would be a good business car I think and good on fuel. At 57K miles the whole top end needed redone, valves and head work....when you put it to the floor the black smoke would pour forth and it must have taken 20 seconds to run a quarter mile. The folks where we lived asked if I could run up and down the block a few times to get rid of the mosquitos...what a pos.....and when I did trade it in they docked me 1200 bucks because it was a diesel.

I later found out that was the cost of the small block chevy engine that they were putting in them so they would sell......I did trade it on an 86 Ford Thunderbird with a turbo four banger that was a nice car....I was so pissed at GM that I went Ford for a period of time....which included a two door Bronco II and a Merc Sable wagon that we had a long time but put 2 trannys in it.

I also had a 6.2 Diesel Chevy ton truck with a 4M and 4:10 rear grears that would go about 65 mph and sound like the engine was in the front seat with you.....I put a 100K on that miserable bitch...and hated every one of them...

Geez you really got me going now......I did not like the 80's cars very much.....
