Outdoor camera's have an additional set of factors to figure (night vision, weatherproofing, etc...) IP camera's have even more limitations. I personally have never seen a dedicated outdoor IP camera. All that having been said, for wireless on a shoestring that should get you by - I'd go with a camera like a TrendNet TV-IP series and put it in a weatherproof box. The basic model (TV-IP 100W) costs around $150, the next biggest one (TV-IP 201W) comes in around $300. Next step up is a TV-IP301W day/night at around $380 and if you want tilt and pan capability there's the TV-IP400W at about $340 D-Link and GadSpot also have wireless IP camera's in about the same price range. In any case, to capture the video, I recomment Active WebCam from py software http://www.pysoft.com/ActiveWebCamMainpage.htm. It's a very affordable package, I use it to record 18 camera's that I have in my stores now. Hope this helps..... |
