Saturday I headed for the races at Eldora, 3 1/2 hour run. It was a nice ride in the Vette. We made it through warmups, qualifying, and the heat races, then the rain showed up at about 9:00. At midnight it was still raining and didn't look like it was going to quit anytime soon. I declared it a rainout and headed for home figuring to be in bed by about 3:30 or so. About an hour from home I come upon a truck laying on its side across all 3 lanes of I-71. It looked like a dead dinosaur laying there. Stuck in traffic fro 3 hours. Finally made it home around 7 a.m. So much for a fun weekend. |
