I already had a shower and fed and then an old classmate messaged me bragging about all the deer they killed today and needed rid of one. I volunteered to take it not thinking he was serious. Asked if I'd take it on the hoof - well, mmmkay... so, at 9pm I was out in the back yard with spotlights skinning and cutting up a buck. Funny too, the black man next door got some company and there was some strange looks coming my way. I now have an entire cooler full of filleted deer to figure out what to do with. Too bad this didn't happen two days from now when the temps will be 29 and then I'd not be in such a hurry.. it will be 70 tomorrow and it's not all that cold outside right now or I'd set the cooler outside. |
