He'd always been a favorite, and I'd never seen him live, so I called some friends and we decided to order tickets. I didn't expect much - he was 62 at the time. I was completely floored from the first note, he just knocked it out of the park. I thought most of the covers he did were better than the originals - he never failed to put his own stamp on those songs. |
