Although I do agree with you, this set is only 15 months old or so, and already out and fwiw, I don't watch a lot of tv to begin with. So my price per day is quite high. Still, a set should last WAAAAAYYYYY longer than this. I've researched online and have found this to be a very common problem with my particular model...... Waiting on call from service center 4th day now....
