Made the drive down to Chama, NM. It's about 40 miles, we took our time, so it took about an hour. We have friends who have a place down there, and they have told us numerous times we ought to go there and see the place. Well, with the weather not conducive to playing golf, we decided to drive down and check it out. It was a really pretty drive in spite of the weather. It is an time town dating back to the old gold rush days. Their cry to fame is the narrow gauge railway that they still have running with steam locomotives. We stopped and walked around the old depot which has been converted to museum and still working as a depot for the tourists to ride the train.

The coal loading station and the water tower required for the trains to run.

Here's a Locomotive warming up. Notice the smoke coming out of the stack.

Here's why they call them 'narrow gauge'

You know what this car is for? (I do, first one I've seen in person)
