Subject: RE:Found some covered bridges by dan0617 on 2008/1/29 1:52:10 The company I work for just recently completely disassembled, restored, reassembled, and replaced a covered bridge. They rebuilt the abutments as well, and made them look like hand-laid stone. It is the Kramer covered bridge in Columbia county, over Mud Run in Rohrsburg. I think it is great that it was reconstructed instead of replaced. I haven't seen the bridge in person but I have seen many before and after pictures. The crew leader and crew that did the work are very meticulous. They are perfectionists, which is why they were chosen for the job. |
