Actually, the ones you buy in the stores take 20-30 seconds to get a reading while your hand is getting splashed with grease or burnt by the grill flame. This one reads in less that 5 seconds, not bad for $19 shipped. Next door neighbor stopped by and said come over and see what's in my garage. He had a beer cag with a propane flame under it, copper coils at the top and a clear liquid dipping into a Mason jar at the bottom.  |
