Saw a 2003 Corvette with a top bid of $10,500. Didn't meet reserve . A Marina Blue 67 topped out at $38k. Again, reserve not met. Lots of heavily modded non original cars. Some went moderately while some I think paid too much for a non original car. 1st day is usually deal day because of the lower audience participation and the better cars usually show up later in the auction. I heard the Mecum flagmen out in the audience telling potential buyers they'd drop the commission to %5 to entice bidders to buy when it was close to beating the reserve. Later guys ...... |
