This time of year, SC is lovely. The weather is nearly perfect. You can also visit the NASCAR museum in Charlotte... I think it's near CMS.
Oh, a warning... SC Highway Patrol loves to run massive speed traps on 95. They even run big ones, followed by smaller ones to snag those using radar detectors.
Keep your speed to within 5mph of the speed limit, or, within the speed of the traffic, you will be fine.
